We’re kicking off a new series here on the MechWorks Engineering Journal: regular, practical coverage of the world of mechanical design and manufacturing, from machine builders and OEMs to industrial equipment makers and the people engineering the systems that keep production running.

Expect notes on mechanical design and 3D CAD workflows, manufacturing drawing packages, new materials and machinery, and the trade shows that matter to this industry: plastics processing (extruders, mixers, agitators), machine tools, and industrial equipment in general. We’ll aim for pieces that are short, accurate, and genuinely useful, published on a regular cadence.
